Introduction

The bedrooms and sitting rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors. Two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and one bedroom has a private adjoining bathroom. There is a separate sitting room, kitchen and dining room on the first floor for guests’ use. Breakfast is served in the main kitchen on the ground floor.

Pre-Arrival

• Our Premises and accommodation is only suitable for guests who can negotiate at least one flight of stairs.
• WiFi is available in the sitting room and bedrooms
• Directions are available on our website – www.starboroughmanor.co.uk
• Information about public transport, routes and distances to the nearest towns are available on our website.
• There are various local taxi companies which have accessible taxis – please telephone for details.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

• There is ample car parking available immediately in front of the entrance
• There is a bell to allow access
• Porterage and assistance is available
• The car park area is well lit at night

Main Entrance and Reception

• The entrance to the accommodation is level with the drive
• All possible assistance will be provided on request
• Seating is available in reception/entrance
• The floor is level throughout the entrance and reception
• Dogs are not permitted except for guide/hearing dogs

Public Areas – Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

• There are three floors which are stone on the ground floor and carpeted on the stairs and upper floors
• The stairs have a handrail on one side only

Public Areas – Sitting room, dining room

• There are no special facilities in the sitting room and dining room

Laundry

• There is a washing machine and tumble dryer which can be used by prior arrangement for a small charge.

Conference and Meeting rooms, Banqueting

• There are some rooms available which can be used for conferences, and which have access via four steps.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas

• Bedrooms are large with plenty of space around the beds.

Bathroom, shower-room and WC (Ensuite/private adjoining)

• One of the ensuite and the private adjoining bathrooms have showers over the bath, not a separate shower enclosure
• One of the ensuite bathrooms has a separate shower enclosure, but there is a 150mm step up from the bedroom to the bathroom

Grounds and Gardens

• The garden is reasonably flat with some tarmac paths and some benches

Additional Information

• The main evaculation route is down the bed & breakfast staircase and out of the B&B entrance
• There is a secondary evacuation route down the main staircase and out of the main front door
• The Assembly Point is in front of the summer house on the lawn
• There are emergency call points on all floors
• There is a full fire alarm system with alarm bells, emergency lighting and signage for exits
• Service dogs are welcome by prior arrangement
• There is no smoking allowed within the building
• Mobile networks coverage is variable within the house, but it is reasonable in the grounds
• Fridge for storing medications and special dietary foods is available in the guest kitchen
• Special diets and allergen free dishes can be catered for by prior arrangement
